2025 Louisiana FOP Scholarship Program

The Louisiana Fraternal Order of Police will offer six (6) $500 scholarships to members of the LAFOP or a dependent of a member. The scholarship deadline is August 30. Recipients must attend enrolled or provide proof of admission to a post secondary higher learning institution. (4 or 2 year university or technical school only, no high schools) One scholarship, selected at random, will be awarded by each Region. Applicants can click here to complete the form to submit an application for consideration. Applicants can only apply once. See the list of regions below. At its Biennial Conference, the Louisiana Fraternal Order of Police recognizes a Member of the Year and an Officer of the Year. Each Local Lodge or a member can submit candidates for both awards.

Louisiana Honors Fallen Law Enforcement Heroes with Special Resolutions Reading at State Capitol

In a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of its law enforcement officers, both Houses of the Legislature will read resolutions in honor of the officers who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty over the past year at the Louisiana State Capitol this coming Monday. We ask that attendees be at the Capitol at 1PM for the reading after convening.

Constitutional Convention Legislation Filed

This years "Day in the Rotunda" has been changed to "Day in the Pentagon Barracks". This gives members the opportunity to engage with their legislators in a social setting forming a relationship at the local level. Remember all politics are local. So make plans to attend this event on April 22, at 3PM. The Pentagon Barracks is located across from the Capitol. We will still do our customary Police Resolution during Police Week.
